January 25th, 2021: The Charterhouse Group (Charterhouse) are delighted to announce that we have recently acquired Pentesec Limited (https://www.pentesec.com/)  a market-leading cyber security consultancy and solution provider, established in 2014, with an award-winning 'Technology First' approach to cyber security, based in Peterborough.

With 36 members of staff and decades of experience, Pentesec offer an end to end Managed Security Platform, where their dedicated, experienced, and fully accredited engineers and consultants are responsible for maintaining every feature you require, seeing to every update and configuration change needed, and monitoring for any, and all, potential threats. The skillset Pentesec bring to the group will very much strengthen our existing Cyber Security presence, and enable us to now provide full end to end solutions to our existing and new client base; allowing us to deepen our market.

This announcement follows the news of our acquisitions of NETconnection Systems and Lloyds Business Communication in early 2020, and more recently the acquisitions of DXP and Symity Limited. All the acquisitions made over the past 12 months, together, complement our established portfolio; whilst adding further depth and breadth to our existing offerings, enabling us to now deliver a richer end to end proposition to you, our customers.

Charterhouse, founded in 1993, has seen its proposition develop to provide complex, customer-focussed solutions, whilst simultaneously building long-lasting trusted relationships with our customers and vendors alike. The solutions we offer, underpinned by three pillars - connect, collaborate, secure - empower the businesses we work with to move forward on their digital transformation journeys.

“We’re thrilled to now have Pentesec as part of the Charterhouse family, and to be adding their team and expertise to our portfolio; thus allowing us to provide a more extensive offering to our customers.”

Mark Brooks-Wadham, Charterhouse CEO.

Through this transaction, Charterhouse will become an even more significant provider of managed IT and business communication in the UK. The combination of this transaction with previous acquisitions will create an organisation of increased breadth and scale, underpinning future business performance and growth, while offering an even more attractive proposition to our customers, partners and employees of the whole group.

“We are excited to now be able to offer our customers an increased portfolio, with additional skills, a wider geographic coverage, and a larger team of people to support them. We are thrilled to have been acquired by Charterhouse – an organisation we can become a part of, who enable us to offer our customers everything they require, whilst also support Pentesec’s core expertise and capability.”

Ian Turnbull, Pentesec founder.
