It is always a pleasure to be able to write a blog about some extremely exciting news for us, here at Charterhouse.

I am delighted that Rapid7 have approached us to become one of their first MSSP partners in the UK.

Rapid7 are a Gartner Magic Quadrant leader for SIEM, and a Forrester Wave leader for Vulnerability Management - their software underpins both our Detection & Response and Vulnerability Assessment solutions.

Where did the relationship start?

When we were reviewing gaps in our Cyber Security Portfolio in late 2018/early 2019, we sought help from Gartner as we wanted to know who were the companies to watch in 2020 and beyond for SIEM and Vulnerability Management in our market space - Mid-Market and Enterprise organisations. The immediate answer was Rapid7.

We started discussions with Rapid7 about their company, their solution, how they partner with organisations like ours, their support structure, and of course their roadmap.

It was very quick to see why Gartner gave such glowing reviews - their solution was extensive, designed to provide contextualised intelligence, and importantly at a cost-effective price point.

Fast forward to August 2020!

We have now been working with the team at Rapid7 for just over 12 months and have built strong relationships across the Channel, Sales and Technical teams and become self-sufficient in delivering both InsightVM and InsightIDR to our customers.

We are now delivering Rapid7 solutions to organisations in sectors such as; Finance, Legal, Software and Housing Associations.

Rapid7 have recognised us as one of their most capable and service orientated partner and we cannot wait to partner more deeply with one of the leading Cyber organisations globally.

In the current climate of users working outside of the corporate environment, and with this likely to continue, we are seeing demand from IT & Security teams to ensure they have visibility of their devices and users behaviour, in order to be able to detect suspicious behaviour.

The Rapid7 solution includes an agent that can be deployed to remote assets, collecting vulnerability information as well as identifying any suspicious user or device behaviour, that could indicate a compromise.

The Management benefits of deploying SOAR

A small silver lining from 2020 is that it appears that cyber security is beginning to get the attention it deserves. We still have a way to go but we’re seeing cyber security being discussed more regularly at Board level and many organisations looking to significantly improve their cyber security posture in 2021.
